MS Channel is a structural member which is widely used in construction industries to make buildings and other structures in civil engineering. It comes in different shaped cross-section and consist of a wide web and two flanges that are parallel to each other. It is fabricated with the help of top-grade mild steel by the casting process to produce a single metal piece with uniformity in structure and greater tensile and shear strength. MS Channel is used as an asymmetric beam as its bending axis is not centered on the width of the flanges. It acts as posts and supports for building corners, protective edges for walls, and as a decorative element for constructions like ceiling channel systems.
